Sickle Cell Anemia

Our 2 month old baby child was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia. Signs and symptoms of the sickle cell anemia was an extremely low hemoglobin count. Our suffering infant was rushed to an Anemia specialist where he was examined extensively for the cause of the sickle cell anemia blood ailment. The director of pediatrics and 3 other physicians were admittingly perplexed by the symptoms in our child. My wife and I had mixed feelings about the blood transfusion. However, we conceded, on the condition that if it became necessary, my wife or I would be the sole donors.
